Acetone is the fastest evaporating solvent available for thinning and cleaning fiberglass resins and epoxies. It is a strong solvent for most plastics and synthetic fibers. It also removes the sticky residue left on glass and porcelain by price stickers and other adhesive labels.
The high evaporation rate also means it is very flammable.
